VPN product
A subscription VPN service in Telegram: a bot, a Mini App, connecting in a couple of steps, servers and operations.
The problem
Build a VPN that a person with no technical skills can use: find it in Telegram, pay, connect within a minute. At the same time the service has to handle growth and not need manual support for every user.
My role
I launched the product from scratch and keep running it. I do everything on the product side: development, product decisions, marketing mechanics. Paid acquisition and operations are handled by the team.
- Bot and Mini App: subscription, payment, delivering the configuration, support.
- Backend: key and server management, subscription accounting.
- Operations: monitoring, logs, updates without downtime.
The solution
The whole user journey lives inside Telegram: the bot guides you from the first message to a working connection, and the Mini App shows the subscription and devices. The complexity is hidden: the configuration installs in one or two taps, and instructions appear only where they can’t be avoided.
- Subscriptions with auto-renewal and several payment methods.
- Access is granted and revoked automatically on payment and when a subscription ends.
- Server and load monitoring, so problems show up before complaints do.
The result
In six months, from zero to a working service with multi-million monthly revenue. This is a team result: growth comes mostly from paid acquisition and marketing. My part is a product that doesn’t lose that traffic: onboarding without support and stable operation.
